PokerSpace, a poker social networking site, needs help in raising funds for one of their own, as he tries to fulfill a few last dreams.

One of PokerSpace's popular community members, known on the site primarily as TopNotch, had been heroically battling lung cancer since 2008, but was sadly recently told by his doctors that treatment for the disease is no longer recommended, due to the cancer's advanced state.  Doctors at this point have given him less than 9 months to live. 

Before the cancer, TopNotch lived in Las Vegas from 2004 to 2008, where he was a regular member of its live poker scene, and now dreams of returning to that city for one last hurrah.

TopNotch's many friends on PokerSpace, are trying to make this very achievable dream- mainly consisting of a stay at the beautiful MGM Mirage- a reality, by hosting a variety of fundraisers for the 37-year-old player, including a poker tournament on UB that they've invited all of us to take part in.

This $5.50 buy-in, rebuy tournament, can be found in the UB "Tourneys" lobby, under the "Special" tab, and is called simply "Topnotch" (#5042026).  The event is currently set up as a regular tournament, however organizers are asking that all winnings, once they are received, be transfered* to a special fundraising account set up for TopNotch:

This event is set to roll on January 24th, at 3PM ET and is already open for registration with the Password "topnotch".

Some other options to contribute set up by TopNotch's many friends include:

1) Transferring funds via Moneybookers (non US)
Send the funds to the email address sblack@suitedmedia.com and add a note upon requesting the transaction like "Topnotch Fundraiser," this additional note will help identify this transfer as a donation towards the fundraiser.

2) Transferring funds via player-to-player on Full Tilt Poker
send the funds on FullTilt to: PokerspaceCo

Please also send a notification by PM (Personal Messge) to an administrator of the fundraiser group (zedmaster84, vger76, BirdsinDirt), which includes your FTP username, the date when the donation was sent, and the amount (you don't have to post that in the public), so they can identify your transaction as donation for the fundraiser.

3) Transferring* funds via player-to-player on UB
