The official second day of play of the PokerStars European Poker Tour, Deauville main event, saw an initial starting group of 395 reduced down to a much more manageable 133.

Among that remaining group- now less than 30 places from the money- sits numerous familiar faces including Shane "Shaniac" Schleger, Dario Minieri, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Juha Helppi, 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Peter Eastgate and Nicolas Levi, who currently leads them all with nearly 650,000 in tournament chips.

Some of the casualties from the day included Joe Beevers, Katja Thater, Praz Bansi, Arnaud Mattern, Alex Kravchenko and Jean-Robert Bellande.
