Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick's hypocritical anti-online poker bill seems to be going down in flames. The bill had proposed the building of three new casinos in Massachusetts, while simultaneously outlawing any online poker in the state. The bill was examined in the Massachusetts House Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies and was summarily rejected in a vote of 10 to 8. The committee's vote to reject the bill does not necessarily mean the bill will not pass when it is voted on in the state's House of Representatives; however, without the approval of the committee an affirmative vote is highly unlikely.
