Krost Beats Young Legends At Aussie Millions Main Event
February 1, 2022

When the final table of the Aussie Millions main event initially began Friday, nearly all eyes were on Annette Obrestad and the chip leader Sorel Mizzi, however by the end of the night, they had all turned to Australia's own Tyron Krost, who took down the event along with its $2,000,000 Australian dollar first prize.

Krost entered the final table in third place and more than 4 million chips behind Sorel Mizzi, but quickly began building his stack through a series of aggressive knock outs including Mizzi's in third, Stephen Shelly's in eighth, Annette's in Seventh, Peter Jetten's in fifth and ending with Frederik Jensen's, during a very short period of heads-up play- most likely a result of Krost's significant chip advantage at that point.

The final table finish positions and payouts* for the 2010 Aussie Millions main event were as follows:

1st.  Tyron Krost- $2,000,000

2nd.  Frederik Jensen- $1,100,000

3rd.  Sorel Mizzi- $715,000

4th.  Kosta Varoxis- $450,000

5th.  Peter Jetten- $350,000

6th.  Steve Friedlander- $250,000

7th.  Annette Obrestad- $175,000

8th.  Stephen Shelly- $125,000

*All payouts expressed in Australian currency.
