2009 WSOPE Main Event Debuts This Weekend On ESPN
February 5, 2022

This weekend is going to be huge for televised sports, and I'm not just talking about that football thingy that's apparently going on.

This Sunday, at 10PM ET, ESPN will begin airing episodes from the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event, starting with a three hour marathon highlighting the first two starting days, as well as Day 2.

The list of featured players that can be seen on these three first episodes lists like a who's who of poker greats including Doyle Brunson, Mike Matusow, Phil Ivey, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Patrik Antonius, Annette Obrestad, Daniel Negreanu, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, John Juanda and PokerRoad's Barry Greenstein, who was caught on Day 1b at the featured table not only with Annette- who won this event in 2007- but also with Daniel and Ferguson.
