EPT Copenhagen Expecting Over 400 Players
February 16, 2022

The Copenhagen stop on the PokerStars European Poker Tour began its Day 1a today, with 191 players sitting down to compete.

This 37,250 DKK buy-in tournament (about $7,000 USD), is expected to attract even more players for tomorrow's Day 1b, yet even so, it may be difficult to match last year's impressive 462 player showing that created a prize pool worth around $4 million.  That event was taken down by Finland's Jens Kyll?nen, who earned more than $1.2 million for the victory.

Some of the well respected players that chose to compete during this year's Copenhagen Day 1a include Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad, Dario Minieri, Arnaud Mattern and Johnny Lodden, who apparently thinks EPT's are well worth the investment.  All four of these players were still in the running by the end of Day 1a play, but unfortunately the same couldn't be said for 78 other players, already eliminated from the tournament.
