North American Poker Tour, As Seen On ESPN2
February 17, 2022

The first major event of the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) since the tour was unveiled during the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, is set to go down this weekend at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, and already the tour is making headlines.

It was previously announced that the NAPT would indeed be televised for American audiences, however exactly where on TV, was a closely guarded secret until now.  Yesterday, organizers announced not only will NAPT be televised, but it will be available for viewing at the home of the ever popular World Series of Poker broadcasts, on the "Worldwide Leader in Sports" network, ESPN2.

Starting mid-April, ESPN2 will air 16 original hours of NAPT coverage, not only of the major events, including this weekend's Venetian $5,000 buy-in tourney, but of some of the interesting side events as well, like the Venetian $25,000 buy-in High Roller Bounty Shootout event, featuring Daniel Negreanu and many other recognizable pros.

"We're very excited to bring the North American Poker Tour to ESPN.  Our fans like big names and big stakes - the NAPT will have both in excess."  -ESPN coordinating producer Jamie Horowitz.

The PokerStars NAPT Venetian main event begins this Saturday, February 20th.  Event organizers have stated that over 400 have already signed up, and are expecting over 800 altogether by the time registration closes.
