EPT Copenhagen: The Numbers
February 17, 2022

With Day 1b of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Copenhagen main event recently concluding, players now know the exact size of the field, as well as the prizes they are playing for.

232 players signed up to play on Day 1b, which if added to Day 1a's 191 total, means 423 players have joined in altogether.  These players represent 36 different countries, according to a PokerStars press release, and include many international top pros like Annette Obrestad, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Dario Minieri, Freddy Deeb and former WSOP Main Event champion Peter Eastgate- one of the Day 1b chip leaders by the end of play.

The total prize pool for the event comes in at a healthy DKK 14,212,800 (or about $2.6 million USD), allowing for a top prize if no deal is struck, of DKK 3,675,000 (around $670,000).  56 players will make the money when all is said and done.

Nearly 200 players were eliminated during the two Day1 flights, leaving 243 to return tomorrow for the official start of Day 2, and their continued chance at a chunk of that prize pool.
