Massachusetts Casino Bill Goes Down as Expected
March 24, 2022
Not surprisingly, after a House Joint Committee voted to reject Governor Patrick's proposed Casino Bill last week, the bill was finally defeated in the Massachusetts House in a vote of 106 to 48.

The bill in question looked to create three new casinos in Massachusetts, while at the same time completely outlawing online poker in the state. If not for the seemingly hypocritical second part of the bill, there is some evidence that the bill would have succeeded.
