Benyamine Wins PPPL4
February 20, 2022

The PartyPoker Premier League IV (PPPL4), concluded yesterday at the M Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, with Full Tilt Pro David Benyamine taking the title, the top cash and the trophy.

Benyamine earned $476,000 altogether, during his run at the PPPL4, substantially more than Phil Laak, who ended with $146,000 despite dominating the competiton during the preliminary matches.  In total, Laak won three heats over the week of PPPL4 play, each filled with top professionals like Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, J.C. Tran and Tony G.

Thanks to that string of wins, Laak entered the final table first in chips but ended up departing first as well, leaving it to Luke "FullFlush" Schwartz, to give Benyamine the most trouble of all his final table competitors.

When heads-up play began, Schwartz was the dominant favorite and appeared well on route to the title, but after a series of double ups, found himself helpless to stop Mr. Benyamine.  Settling for a runner-up finish, Schwartz earned $200,000, putting his overall PPPL4 earnings at $258,000.
