6 Bounties Left To Claim At NAPT Venetian High Roller Shootout
February 24, 2022

The $25,000 buy-in, PokerStars North American Poker Tour Invitational Bounty Shootout event is now down to its last table, after an exciting Day 1 that saw 49 players sit down to compete, and 42 bounties- or $210,000 in prize money- given out.

This unique High Roller event boasts a $460,000, winner-take-all top prize, for the one player able to basically win two in sit-n-gos in a row; a feat that perhaps doesn't seem that difficult until one notices the astounding amount of poker talent lined up at those tables- all attempting to do the same thing.

A short list of just some of the talent unable to survive their starting tables yesterday includes Chris Moneymaker, Dario Minieri, Justin Bonomo, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Galfond, Vanessa Rousso, Phil Laak, John Hennigan, Yvgeniy Timoshenko, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Phil Hellmuth and PokerRoad's own Barry Greenstein and Joe Sebok.

Each of these now eliminated players had a $5,000 bounty on their heads, and as an interesting added twist, PokerStars- the title sponsor of the event- has contributed an extra $100,000 bonus, to be given out to whichever player in the tournament is able to collect the most of these bounties.  That "bounty race" is currently being lead by Scott Seiver, who personally eliminated every single player at his starting table to lead the field with 6 bounties and a $5,000 profit thus far in the event.

The six other players joining Scott tomorrow, at the PokerStars NAPT High Roller Bounty Shootout Final Table- now once again all equal in chips- include Hoyt Corkins (5 bounties), Faraz Jaka (4 bounties), Ashton Griffin (2 bounties), Brett Richey (3 bounties), Joe Cassidy (4 bounties) and former World Series of Poker Main Event champion Peter Eastgate (2).
