Day 2 At The LAPC
March 1, 2022
The second day of play at the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic in Commerce, California, saw another 289 players fail in their quest to win this year’s $1,788,001 top prize.

Among the list of fallen players from Day 2 could be found many well known names including past LAPC final tablist Phil Hellmuth, Eli Elezra, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Tom “durrrr” Dwan, Mike Sowers, Faraz Jaka, Joe Hachem and PokerRoad Radio’s Gavin Smith, who to be fair started the day with one of the absolute smallest stacks, but on the plus side, also with no new personal tattoo appointments.

188 players remained once all the end of day bags were counted, including a list survivors equal in impressiveness to that of the fallen.  The LAPC Day 2 survivors included Vanessa Rousso, Vivek “FLOG” Rajkumar, Howard Lederer, Jennifer Tilly, Paul Wasicka, Erica Schoenberg, Steve Sung, “Poppa PokerRoad” Barry Greenstein and Daniel Negreanu, who ended day near the very top of the leader board with over 315,000 in tournament chips.

There is still a significant amount of play left before these surviving players reach the 72 person payout money bubble, and over a hundred more will most likely depart during Day 3.  To find out who they will be, check out the live tournament updates and chip counts available at, or read tomorrow’s news.
