LA Poker Classic Final Table Set
March 3, 2022
When Day 5 of the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic began yesterday at the Commerce Casino, only 22 players remained, yet still nearly a third of the field was comprised of well known, respected, tournament pros.

Sitting among those three final tables were feared tournament rounders, past WPT winners and former World Series of Poker Main Event champions including PokerRoad’s Steve Sung, Mark Newhouse, Annie Duke, Johnny Chan and Carlos Mortensen, the chip leader when play began.

Any one of these players would be a Tournament Director’s dream to make a final table, but unfortunately for Mr. Matt Savage- this particular tournament’s top dog- none of those mentioned above would survive to see the end of the long day’s play, leaving instead an uncharacteristic group of relative unknowns to compete at tomorrow’s LAPC final table.

The players and chip counts for the WPT LAPC final table are as follows:

1st.  Andras Koroknai- 4,995,000

2nd.  Raymond Dolan- 3,300,000

3rd.  Tri Huynh- 2,565,000

4th.  Gevork Kasabyan- 2,000,000

5th.  Jean-Claude Moussa- 1,360,000

6th.  Michael Kamran- 680,000

These six players that still remain to vie for the $1,788,001 top prize and prestigious LAPC title, will now have a day off to recover from last night’s extremely long session, as attentions shift instead to the WPT Celebrity Invitational final table, set to play out tonight.  For more information on that, or on the LA Poker Classic in general visit www.worldpokertour.com.
