LAPT Chile Stop Cancelled For Obvious Reasons
March 4, 2022, the presenting sponsor of the Latin American Poker Tour, recently announced they’ve been forced to cancel this month’s upcoming Viña Del Mar stop, due to the massive earthquake that Chile recently endured.

The highly destructive 8.8-magnitude quake, which hit last week, effectively devastated the country of Chile and unfortunately the Viña Del Mar Casino and Resort, the location of the upcoming LAPT series, was less than 200 miles from the epicenter, making a major tournament stop at that casino anytime soon, highly impractical.

As is the case with most PokerStars sponsored tournaments, many players had already bought in or successfully qualified for this event via satellites, and PokerStars in their cancellation announcement, has promised that all such players will be fully refunded and even reimbursed for their out-of-pocket expenses.
