PokerStars Offers Foolish Tourneys For April 1st
April 1, 2022
Tournament organizers for PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker room, are apparently getting into the spirit of April Fools Day, not by creating fake tournaments as one might expect, but by creating real tournaments so foolish in structure and design, players may have been better off signing up for them if they were fake.

All of the designated “April Foolishness” tournaments are set to take place around 3PM EST on April 1st and feature such fun twists as blinds that start high and then get smaller; blinds that start at 88/88 with an 88 chip ante before moving after one three minute level to 888/888 with an 888 chip ante and finally settling at blinds at 88,888/88,888 after only about a half hour of play; and of course one tournament where the blinds seem to increase and decrease totally at random, as the game itself alternates back and fourth between Pot-Limit Hold ‘em and Pot-Limit Omaha about every 5 minutes.

For a better and more thorough explanation of the rules for each of these particular “April Foolishness” tournaments, simply visit the PokerStars main lobby and look for the events colored in pink; and for those who can’t do so because they’ve yet to sign up for a PokerStars account, why not sign up for one now by clicking here, and help PokerRoad while at the same time claiming a first deposit bonus worth up to $600.
