Money Approaches As More Mohegan Sun Players Melt Away
April 9, 2022
Day 2 of the PokerStars North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun main event, saw a starting group of about 443 players smacked down to only 125, making the odds of reaching the 104 player money bubble early on Day 3, a near certainty.

Some of the players eliminated during the discouraging second day included Gavin Smith, Daniel Negreanu, Bernard Lee, Brandon Cantu, Bill Chen, David Singer, Faraz Jaka, Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, Kathy Liebert and DeepStack University’s Adam “Roothlus” Levy.

Similar to yesterday, the end of Day 2 Leader Board at the Mohegan Sun once again held many familiar names near the top including PokerRoad’s own Phil Ivey as well as Todd Terry, Sorel Mizzi, Vanessa Selbst, Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy and Jordan Morgan, who leads them all with over 700,000 in tournament chips.  Day 1’s chip leader, David Williams, is also still in the hunt, however he’s no longer the monster that he was.  Williams is officially out of the top ten, but still sitting with plenty of chips to be a threat when the tournament begins again tomorrow.
