17.72 acres on Las Vegas Blvd. could soon become the newest hotel, resort, and casino on the Vegas Strip. FX Real Estate and Entertainment has submitted redevelopment plans for the property adjacent to the MGM Grand, in hopes of creating a brand new luxury hotel casino with: a 1,605 seat theater; a 93,000 square foot shopping complex; a 206,000 square foot convention center; a sportsbook; a poker room; a large casino of course; wedding chapels; banquet areas; and numerous themed attractions. Those themed attractions will most likely revolve around "The King" himself, as FX Real Estate and Entertainment has obtained licensing agreements with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.

The estimated cost to create this new Elvis inspired playground is $3.1 billion dollars - an amount FX doesn't really have yet. So at the moment if you're hoping to play slots while listening to "Viva Las Vegas" or "A Little Less Conversation," you'll just have to settle for one of the other four thousand casinos in Las Vegas.
