NAPT Mohegan Sun High Roller Results Are In
April 13, 2022
PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier, just took down the 2010 PokerStars NAPT Mohegan Sun High Roller Bounty Shootout event, which when added to his first table win yesterday, and his record seven bounty total, guaranteed him a top prize worth $450,000- plus a future Bounty Shootout seat worth $25,000.

Mercier outlasted a total field of 35 players to win the Mohegan Sun High Roller, first by beating out his entire initial table and then by crushing the final table as well, which included such tough players as Matt Glantz, Faraz Jaka and Shawn Buchanan.

All those players proved to be a daunting challenge but it was Sam Stein that gave Mercier the most trouble, and in fact had him circling the drain on numerous occasions during their extended heads-up battle, before Mercier truly proved himself unsinkable.  Not only was the short stacked Mercier somehow able to fill an inside straight on the river, when his all-in King-Ten was in real trouble against Stein’s Ace-Queen on an Ace-Jack-Two flop to double-up; but remarkably just a few hands later, was able to make another miracle straight- this time runner-runner- when his pocket threes were behind Stein’s Ace-Jack on a Jack high flop- which also contained the innocent looking but eventually devastating Six and Two.

The final results and payouts (including bounties) for the final six of the Pokerstars Mohegan Sun High Roller Bounty Shootout event were as follows:

1st.  Jason Mercier- $450,000 + $25,000 Bounty Shootout seat

2nd.  Sam Stein- $80,000

3rd.  Faraz Jaka- $80,000

4th.  Matt Glantz- $70,000

5th.  Shawn Buchanan- $80,000

6th. Luis "Bachy" Vasquez- $70,000
