A Furst On Poker2Nite
April 28, 2022
Another Wednesday is upon us, and once again that means a whole new episode of Poker2Nite, the popular poker news and entertainment show on Versus featuring PokerRoad’s own Joe Sebok, Scott Huff and this week only, a real Furst.

Rafe Furst, one of the original notorious “Tiltboys” and the co-creator of the “Put a Bad Beat on Cancer” initiative, stops by the Poker2Nite studios to talk with the guys about high stakes poker tournaments, Roshambo (a.k.a Rock, Paper, Scissors) and the many charity opportunities available in the poker world.

Furst's “Bad Beat on Cancer” initiative, which is basically a pledge poker players make to donate 1% of their tournament earnings to help stop cancer, has already raised over $2 million for the Cancer Research & Prevention Foundation and has earned Rafe- and his friend and initiative co-creator Phil Gordon- national esteem and recognition for their charitable works, in the process painting poker in a slightly better light to many in the non-playing community.

One poker player intimately aware of the importance of this work, as well as unfortunately the destruction cancer can cause, is PokerRoad blogger Thuy Doan, who personally has spent the last eight months fighting for her life since being diagnosed with a rare soft tissue sarcoma in her upper left calf.  Thuy recently went through major surgery to attempt to get rid of the cancer once and for all and she too will talk on this week’s Poker2Nite, about her struggle, and how much the support of the poker community has helped her.

Also on this week’s program, will be an interview with Liv Boeree after her recent $1.7 Million score at the EPT San Remo; a skype call with David Williams after his big WPT Grand Championship win and the infamous “Mailbag” segment, where Poker2Nite’s Dana Workman answers the best viewer’s questions, with the help of top pros like Andy Bloch.

The April 28th episode of Poker2Nite, can once again be seen in the US on the Versus cable channel at 11PM EDT.  For more information on Poker2Nite, or to catch archived episodes from previous weeks, visit the official site at UB- the title sponsor of the program.
