Annie Duke And The After School All-Stars
May 5, 2022
Annie Duke, the 2010 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Champion, has over the years become almost as well known for her charitable endeavors as she is for her poker prowess, and it appears that on May 20th, at 7PM, she’s at it again, this time hosting a tournament at the Commerce Casino to benefit the After School All-Stars program.

The After School All-Stars, is an organization dedicated to creating comprehensive after school programs for at risk children across the country, providing them with healthy safe alternatives to crime, gangs, drugs and casual sex.

Annie Duke’s Celebrity Poker Night, benefitting the After School All-Stars, is a $250 buy-in No-Limit Hold ‘em tournament, with optional $100 re-buys.  This event will offer over $35,000 worth of prizes, including a Segway scooter and a Main Event seat for the 2010 World Series of Poker valued at $10,000.

Joining Duke to fight for that WSOP Main Event seat will reportedly be such well known celebrities as Joshua Malina, Don Cheadle, Rafe Furst, Trishelle Cannatella, Ali Nejad and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, who like Duke- and this event itself- is sponsored by UB.
