Unibet Wishes They Could Go Dutch
March 28, 2022
Unibet, a sports betting, casino, and poker site, lost their appeal in a Dutch court recently. The case was to attempt to overturn a judgment that fined them EUR100,000 per day, up to a maximum of EUR3,000,000, for violating the Dutch Gaming Act. The court agreed with a previous ruling that Unibet's site infringed upon the market rights of the Dutch Lottery.

Unibet believes the Dutch anti-gambling laws are unfair to other members of the European Union and therefore should be overturned. Unfortunately for Unibet, The Dutch court disagreed.
