WPT Grand Prix De Paris: The Start
May 10, 2022
The two initial flights of the €10,000 buy-in, World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris took place over the weekend at the Aviation Club de France, with 247 unique players signing-in to compete.

Among those nearly 250 players- enough to create a total prize pool worth more than $3 Million US- were numerous poker notables including Theo Jorgensen, Shane Schleger, Bertrand “ElkY Grospellier, Freddy Deeb, Andrew Feldman, Jeff Sarwer, Isabelle Mercier and Sorel Mizzi, there to hopefully add to an amazing 2010 which thus far has included 10 separate final tables and 4 wins.

Only 127 of those original 247, survived to move on after the difficult Paris weekend of poker, and another 100 must still be eliminated before any of those survivors can even claim they cashed in this event and yet today- even as this is being written- the struggle continues.

First prize for this event is €633,902, or over $810,000 US. To keep tabs on who still has a chance to claim it, visit the live updates page at www.worldpokertour.com.
