APPT Macau Day 1B
May 19, 2022
Day 1b of the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau main event saw another 84 players sit down to play.

Among those players were numerous tough pros including John “The Razor” Phan, Eric Assadourian, J.C. Tran, David Steicke and Terrance Chan.

Despite their proven records, neither Chan, Phan nor even Tran were able to survive this difficult starting day, however Steicke- as is often the case at these APPT events- faired very well, ending the day with nearly 125,000 in chips- more than any player from Day 1a.

Of the 167 players that have now sat down to play in this event so far, Steicke now sits in second place overall behind only Henrik Gwinner, a Danish player who somehow managed to make even more from Day 1b’s 48 eliminations than Steicke did.  Gwinner ended Day 1b with 140,700 in tournament chips, according to chip counts provided by the PokerStars blog.

The third and final flight of this APPT HKD $40,000 buy-in (about $5,130 USD) event starts tomorrow in Macau.  For more information visit www.appt.com.
