Final First Flight Of APPT Macau
May 20, 2022
The last flight of the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau main event took place yesterday at the Casino Grand Lisboa, with signup numbers that put all previous flights to shame.  170 players sat down during Day 1c, just slightly less than both Day 1a and Day 1b combined.

In total from the three starting days, 342 players deposited HKD $40,000 each to compete in this APPT event, enough to create a total prize pool worth HKD $12,730,608 (about $1,632,000 USD).  That pool is officially large enough to pay out the top 40 places, and award a grand prize worth over $415,000 when converted into US cash.

Some of the well known players who survived the Day 1c fray, to join the previous Day 1 survivors include Erik Vos, Nam Le, Aaron Benton, Guillaume Patry and Tony Hachem, the reigning ANZPT Player of the Year, who heads to Day 2 with a very small stack but still some hope for a deep run in Macau.

Day 2 of the PokerStars APPT Macau main event begins later today, with 160 players still in contention and now all competing together in the same place and time.  To follow the Day 2 action, or to learn more about the three Day Ones, visit the PokerStars blog.
