The 411 On The 41st (WSOP): November Niner Wins Event #18
June 12, 2021
Eric Buchman, the fourth place finisher in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event, will apparently not be resting on past successes during this year’s Series, having already cashed in three preliminary events in 2010 and winning the last one- Event #18, the $2,000 buy-in Limit Hold ‘em.

Buchman outlasted a total field of 476 players to earn this, his first WSOP bracelet, including numerous tough pros who also went deep like Joe Serock (28th- $5,033), Ivo Donev (26th- $6,237), Shannon Shorr (17th- $7,805) and fellow 2009 November Niner Jeff Shulman, who just missed the final table himself, dropping instead in 13th place overall.

Poker pro Matt Matros also went deep, and in fact even made the final table remarkably less than one week after winning Event #12, a similar Limit Hold ‘em event with a $1,500 buy-in.

The final table finish positions for Event #18 of the 2010 WSOP were as follows:

1st.  Eric Buchman- $203,607

2nd.  Brent Courson- $125,737

3rd.  Steven Hustoft- $90,928

4th.  Flavio Ferrari- $66,446

5th.  Hansu Chu- $49,068

6th.  William Jensen- $36,619

7th.  Matt Grapenthien- $27,609

8th.  Gary Bogdanski- $21,025

9th.  Matthew Matros- $16,174
