The 411 On The 41st (WSOP): Hellebuyck Hella Good In Ladies Event

Vanessa Hellebuyck, a Parisian part-time poker player commonly spotted on the European Poker Tour, took first place recently in the 2010 World Series of Poker Ladies Event, earning a top prize worth $192,132.

Hellebuyck outlasted a total field of 1,054 players to take down the Ladies Event- including a handful of highly unpopular and controversial men- along the way surpassing such familiar faces as PokerRoad's Maria Ho (75th- $2,362),  Liv Boeree (53rd- $3,500), Lacey Jones (41st- $4,097), Linda Johnson (31st- $4,847) and Svetlana Gromenkova (33rd- $4,847), who won this event back in 2008.

The final table finish positions for Event #22, the $1,000 buy-in Ladies Championship, were as follows:

1st.  Vanessa Hellebuyck- $192,132

2nd.  Sidsel Boesen- $118,897

3rd.  Timmi Derosa- $74,389

4th.  Allison Whalen- $53,994

5th.  Kami Chisholm- $39,860

6th.  Holly Hodge- $29,880

7th.  La Sengphet- $22,728

8th.  Bonnie Overfield- $17,520

9th.  Loren Watterworth- $13,688
