The 411 On The 41st (WSOP): Annette_15, One Of 14 Left In Event #39
June 23, 2021
The $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold ‘em Shootout event of the 2010 World Series of Poker, is now down to just 14 players of a starting 1,397, and numerous big names including Annette Obrestad are still in the running.

This event, which begins again in Vegas today (6/23) at 2:30 p.m. local time, will award one player a top prize worth $382,725- the largest percentage of a total prizepool worth $1,885,950- as well as the ultimate status symbol for poker players everywhere, a WSOP bracelet.

Annette Obrestad, now more than halfway through her first WSOP where she is actually old enough to play, will have most of the eyes in the room on her as she aims for that bracelet, but she wont be alone out there in its pursuit.  As is the nature of shootout events, all 14 players today will begin with the same amount of chips, each having won their previous tables as well, and each is likely just as hungry as Annette is for that one particular piece of jewelry.

Some of the other well known talented pros now within striking distance of the Shootout bracelet include J.C. Tran, Dustin Dirksen, Justin Scott, Michael Pesek and Jeffrey King.
