The 411 On The 41st (WSOP): Old G Smith Makes Event #44 Final Table
June 26, 2021
Only nine players remain in Event #44, the $2,500 buy-in Mixed Hold ‘em at the 2010 World Series of Poker and PokerRoad Radio’s own Gavin “the Caveman” Smith is still in it and vying for first.

Already well in the money thanks to 507 initial entrants, Gavin literally trails the chip leader, Jarred Solomon, by less than a handful of chips, and both are sitting with around 325,000 above the table's average, according to streaming live updates provided by PokerNews.com.

The winner of this event will not only pocket a top prize worth $268,238 but also a coveted WSOP bracelet, an object not one of the talented final nine currently possess.

Some of the other top players at the Event #44 final table include “Circuit Master” Dwyte Pilgrim, Michael Michnik, Jamie Rosen and Daniel Idema, who less than two weeks ago ended up just one spot away from earning his first bracelet in Event #29, a $10,000 Limit Hold ‘em tournament that instead went to Matt Keikoan,

To watch Gavin’s run for his first WSOP bracelet, or to see if Idema will be the fourth player from this year’s Series to score both a first and a second, check out PokerNews.com when play resumes at 2:30 p.m. Vegas time.
