A senior fellow of the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has recently published a "white paper" on the UIGEA entitled: "Time to Fold the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act: A Bad Law with Perverse Outcomes."

A "white paper" is a political report or guide that attempts to summarize an issue in a quick and easy to digest way, while at the same time highlighting problems and offering solutions. This particular "white paper" takes aim at the UIGEA, calling it "bad, bad law." The paper makes the argument that the UIGEA could potentially hurt the American banking system, bankrupt small businesses, and further depress the American Economy. This "white paper" should play a valuable educational role in the ongoing UIGEA debate, as it was published by a group known to be conservative and pro-business, proving anti-UIGEA sentiment can be found on both sides of the political aisle.

First the democrats, than the World Trade Organization, the European Union, and now the conservatives; with every passing day it seems the UIGEA makes more enemies.
