The Second-Annual Jennifer Harman Charity Poker Tournament is just around the corner (April 18th), and in order to draw extra support for the charity, Jen attended a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday for the new wing of the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) no-kill animal sanctuary. The wing was almost entirely paid for by last year's tournament fundraiser.

By all accounts, Jennifer Harman has been a God send to the (SPCA). Her inaugural 2007 tournament raised $130,000 for the Nevada SPCA, and this year's tournament is expected to do just as well. Already confirmed to play in the event are Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow, Johnny Chan, Huck Seed, defending champ Kirk Morrison, and of course PokerRoad Radio's own Gavin Smith and Joe Sebok.

The 2008 Jennifer Harman Charity Poker Tournament will be held at the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino. The tournament will be open to the public with a recommended donation of $300+30 with optional rebuys of $200. The winner of the event will not only get the satisfaction of knowing they helped save the lives of many countless animals, but will also get a free entry into the 2008 WSOP Main Event.
