EPT Returns To Vienna
August 4, 2021
Season Seven of the highly successful PokerStars European Poker Tour begins in exactly one week and as if to add to the excitement, organizers have announced the return of a stop that hasn’t been part of the Tour since it’s inaugural season.

This returning Viennese stop, overlooking the Danube river in Austria, will feature a €5,300 buy-in No-Limit Hold ‘em tournament, with a guaranteed top prize worth €500,000- or about $660,000 USD.

The last time the EPT stopped in Vienna in 2005, the main event was a €2,000 buy-in tournament that attracted 297 players.  That tournament, which by most accounts took place during the height of poker’s popularity, was taken down by Pascal Perrault for €184,500- a little more than half of this year’s promised prize- guaranteeing this year’s participants either a juicy overlay, or a chance to be a part of the richest EPT Vienna stop ever.

The Season 7 PokerStars EPT Vienna will take place from October 26th though the 31st.  For more information on this event or the EPT in general visit, or join PokerStars for numerous opportunities to satellite in.

New players who join PokerStars via PokerRoad can take advantage of a 100% first time deposit worth up to $600.  To get started on PokerStars just click here.
