EPT Estonia: 420 Makes Organizers Happy
August 12, 2021
Day 1b of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Tallinn main event, concluded today after another 238 entrants deposited €4,250 each, to compete in what would turn out to be the richest poker tournament ever held in Estonia.

420 players in total chose to compete in this first EPT stop of season seven, enough to create a total prize pool of €1,596,000, and a top prize of €400,000- about $513,000 USD.

Among the Day 1b group sat many well known pros including Dario Minieri, Max Lykov, Juha Helppi, Shaun Deeb, and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.  Most of those players either failed to make many waves during the day or were eliminated out right, however some recognizable pros did happily find themselves with at least double what they started with including Katja Thater (62,900), Jens Kyllonen (63,100) and Marc Naalden (115,000).

The chip leader at the end of Day 1a was Serbia’s Perica Bukara, only the second player to break the 200,000 chip mark from both starting days.

Day 2 of the PokerStars EPT Tallinn main event begins tomorrow with a total 210 players still in the running.  To read highlights from that day once it begins, or for more information on today’s Day 1b action, check out the PokerStars blog.
