Bukara Wins Merit Cyprus High Roller Final Table
August 20, 2021
Southeastern Europe’s Perica Bukara, entered the final table today of Full Tilt Poker’s $25,000 buy-in Merit Cyprus High Roller tournament, with a daunting presence and formidable chip lead, and with the exception of one or two minor moments, never gave it up.

Bukara’s nearly wire-to-wire performance against such established pros as David Benyamine, Carter Phillips and Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, earned him a top prize of nearly $375,000- the biggest cash of his young tournament career.

Benyamine for his part, the chip leader after Day 1, entered the final table in fifth place overall and was barely able to improve upon that position, finally cashing one step higher in fourth for $82,935- an amount barely above an uncontested pot in some of the online cash rooms the Full Tilt Pro is known to frequent.  But of course things could be worse, Sam Trickett, who entered the third and final day eighth in chips, didn’t cash at all, despite finishing the event in sixth place- the unfortunate bubble boy of the high priced event.

The payout positions for the 2010 Full Tilt Poker Merit Cyprus Classic “High Roller” event were as follows:

1st.  Perica Bukara- $373,207

2nd.  Ori Miller- $207,337

3rd.  Andrew Feldman- $124,402

4th.  David Benyamine- $82,935

5th.  Jon Turner- $41,467
