Frankenberger Finishes First At Legends Finale
August 26, 2021
The World Poker Tour Legends of Poker, at LA’s Bicycle Casino, concluded yesterday with New York’s Andy Frankenberger taking the title.

Frankenberger outlasted a total field of 462 players to become the WPT’s newest Legends champion, a feat which earned him a top prize of $750,000.

In order to claim that prize- the largest of his professional tournament career- Frankenberger had to surpass many top pros, including a final table that held two previous Legends of Poker final tablists, Kyle Wilson and Tom Lee.

Both these players, during their earlier Legends showings, went out in disappointing sixth place and if not for Frankenberger, not only would both have ended up surpassing their previous best efforts, but one of them would have actually won.  Instead though, Frankenberger and his killer stack prevailed, and left Wilson and Lee to claim second and third respectively- a significant improvement for both which still leaves room for further advancement at next year’s Legends.

The final table finish positions for the 2010 WPT Legends of Poker were as follows:

1st.  Andy Frankenberger- $750,000

2nd.  Kyle Wilson- $370,000

3rd.  Tom Lee- $174,772

4th.  Tom Braband- $109,000

5th.  Jared Jaffee- $86,000

6th.  Franco Brunetti- $63,000
