Toby Lewis Victorious In Vilamoura

The PokerStars European Poker Tour Vilamoura main event concluded in Portugal’s Algarve region recently, with poker pro Toby Lewis claiming the title.

Britain’s Lewis, one of three English players to make the final table, earned a top prize of €467,835 for being the last player with chips out of an original 384, roughly $600,000 when converted into U.S. currency.

Lewis overcame a tough final table that also included Holland’s Rob Hollink, America’s Jason Lee, and professional retired English footballer Teddy Sheringham, who remarkably made it all the way into fifth place for a not unsubstantial €93,120.

The final table finish positions for the 2010 PokerStars EPT Vilamoura main event were as follows:

1st.  Toby Lewis- €467,835

2nd.  Martin Jacobson- €297,984

3rd.  Jason Lee- €186,240

4th.  Sam Trickett- €139,680

5th.  Teddy Sheringham- €93,120

6th.  Frederick Jensen- €74,496

7th.  Rob Hollink- €55,872

8th.  Sergio Coutinho- €37,248
