English Poker Open Reaches Final Table
September 14, 2021
The £3,750 buy-in English Poker Open, which started Saturday, has made it down to the final nine players, after dispatching about 185 fellow entrants to the cruel realities of the rail.

This event, held at London’s Palm Beach Casino, boasted a total prize pool of nearly £700,000 and a top prize of £220,650- or nearly $350,000 in US folding money.

Thanks to the fairly large amount of entrants, this event is paying out the top 19 finishers and has already rewarded well known pros Liv Boeree (12th- £9,500) and Phil Laak (18th- £6,800) with small portions of the pool.  Laak, interestingly enough, has been on a bit of a min-cash heater as of late, also just missing the final table at the recent Partouche Poker Tour Final earlier this month, for a cash of about $67,000 American.

The current chip counts for the English Poker Open final table are as follows:

Mathew Frankland– 668,000

Sebastian Crul– 583,500

Fabian Quoss– 559,000

Andrew Brennan– 336,000

Mark Norman– 224,500

Felipe Ramos– 196,500

Stephen Chimelski– 191,000

Brent Lehring– 94,500

Salman Behbehani– 72,000
