Dunst Gets Raw For WPT
October 5, 2021
After an extensive search both online and live, World Poker Tour Enterprises announced recently that Tony “Bond18” Dunst has been chosen to helm their new “Raw Deal” segment on upcoming WPT episodes- starting in Season 9.

Dunst, a successful online and live tournament pro who was already known as someone not afraid to tell it like it is, scored the Simon Cowell type gig after auditioning at the Bicycle Casino during the most recent Legends of Poker along with many other established pros and PokerRoaders like Bryan “Devo” Devonshire, Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler and Joe Sebok.

This role, as basically the WPT’s new gadfly, is a recently created opportunity and just part of a whole seeming WPT retooling, which also included the introduction of the Royal Flush Girls, and the hiring of Matt Savage as Executive Tour Director.

Dunst, originally a Wisconsin native, had this to say about his new position:

“For years, I watched the WPT every week and memorized the final hands, then would pick apart the strategy.  I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with icons Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten, who were crucial to bringing our industry into its modern, global form.  The WPT has given me carte blanche to be myself. I'll be as candid, blunt, and absurd as I like; a sweet deal, and I'm honored they choose me.”  -Tony "Bond18" Dunst
