Media Reacts To UIGEA Hearing
April 7, 2022
The media reaction to last week's UIGEA House sub-committee meeting entitled "Proposed UIGEA Regulations: Burden without Benefit?" has thus far been very positive for the online poker industry. Thanks in part to special efforts from organizations like the Poker Players Alliance (PPA), mainstream media outlets including MSNBC and CNET have picked up the torch and reported on the event with similar sentiments to those most adversely affected by the UIGEA.

The PPA seems to be working hard to get the message out that the UIGEA is nothing but a bad, unworkable law, and that "prohibition does not work." Given the recent video summaries of the hearing shown on MSNBC and later published on msnbc.com, that hard work is beginning to pay substantial dividends.
