Seemingly not content with crowning a World Champion of Online Poker and a Spring Champion of Online Poker each year, PokerStars, the worlds largest online card room, has announced a new series of regional contests as well, to go along with their other popular Championships of Online Poker (COOP) series'.

These new Regional Championships of Online Poker (RCOOP) are area specific, focusing on thirteen sections of the globe, and are exclusive to those areas, allowing only players in those regions to compete against each other to see who’s the best.

The 13 areas mentioned on the newly created RCOOP PokerStars website include the Baltics, Germanics, Asia Pacific, Mediterranean, UK & Ireland, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin American, Iberian, Benelux, Canadian, Russian, Nordic and of course the US of A. 

Each RCOOP will have 10 preliminary events leading up to a final main event, created to discover the best in the area at online poker.  The 13 RCOOPs will also feature a significant range of games and buy-ins, with large posted guarantees as well. 

It seems America’s RCOOP is the most fortunate in that last department, with over $3,000,000 in posted guaranteed prize pools throughout the 13 tournaments- the first of which starts November 21st.
