Festa Al Lago Friday
October 14, 2021
The 2010 World Poker Tour Festa al Lago main event, begins tomorrow (10/15) at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, a big buy-in No-Limit Hold ‘em tournament that traditionally attracts some of the top pros in the game.

This year’s event, unlike some previous year’s, has a “mere” $10,300 buy-in, which should help assure that the Season Nine Festa al Lago attracts significantly more than Season Eight’s- which topped out at 275 registered entrants.

That tournament, a $15,400 buy-in, still built a total prize pool of $4,001,250, and was able to award a top prize of $1,218,225 to the new champ Tommy Vedes.  Other players that cashed in that event included Chris “Jesus” Ferguson (25th- $23,855), Lee Markholt (22nd- $23,855), Vivek Rajkumar (15th- $39,760), Thang “Kido” Pham (8th- $89,450) and Kassem “Freddy” Deeb (4th- $278,300).

Further Festa al Lago champions include Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Andreas Walnum, Minh Ly and Carlos Mortensen, each of whom earned at least $1 million in the process.

Friday’s Day 1 at the Bellagio is the only starting day, however registration is set to remain open until Level 8, allowing for plenty of time for anyone interested, to get in on the action.
