Horseshoe Hammond WSOP Circuit Stop Starts Strong (No, I Mean Really Strong)
October 15, 2021
Event #1 of the World Series of Poker Circuit series held at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana- the first "ring" event of series that culminates with the crowning of the 2010/2011 Midwest Regional Circuit Champion- kicked off today with a record setting field of 1,611 players sitting down to play- the largest in WSOP Circuit and Chicago area history.

This impressive number for a $350 buy-in event, assures the winner of a grand prize of $77,438, or about $7,000 more than Joshua Shmerl earned, by winning this previous record holding event last year.

The total prize pool for event #1 came to $462,368, enough to payout the top 171 players and convince organizers that this eleven ring event series, could easily end up being bigger than anyone had previously imagined.
