Annette Leads Final Lucky 13 At WPT Festa Al Lago
October 19, 2021
Annette Obrestad, the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe main event champion, is dangerously close to earning her first World Poker Tour title, finishing Day 4 of the WPT Festa al Lago main event with the chip lead with only 13 remaining.

Currently sitting with over 2 million in tournament chips- the only player so far to surpass that mark- Obrestad clearly stands poised to extend her online and European fame to American WPT audiences, by sitting down at her first WPT final table, but before she does there are still quite a few top pros she’ll have to outlast.  Some of the other well known pros still with chips at the Bellagio include PokerRoad’s Jeff Madsen (1,500,000), Noah Schwartz (1,137,000), John Monnette (1,271,000) and Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, who’s now ranked in the top five with 1,275,000 in tournament chips, despite having one of the shortest stack of the entire field at the end of Day 2.

Players who busted yet cashed during Day 4 included PokerRoad’s Barry Greenstein (38th- $16,120), Lyle Berman (36th- $16,120), Matt Affleck (22nd- $19,344), Matt “Allinat420” Stout (18th- $25,792), Mark Newhouse (15th- $32,240) and Lauren Kling (14th- $32,240), the last player to go home from Day 4.
