NAPT Los Angeles: The Numbers
November 14, 2021
With Day 1b of the PokerStars North American Poker Tour Los Angeles main event now concluded, the full picture of exactly how many are involved, who they are, and what’s ultimately at stake, has finally come into view.

701 players in total entered this final stop of the inaugural season of the NAPT; 15 less than the previous Mohegan Sun stop, but still enough to create a total prize pool worth $3,229,857.

That expansive prize pool guarantees at least 104 players will receive some form of compensation for their poker tenacity this week, with the final player assured of a top prize worth $725,000.

Once both Day Ones were completed tonight at LA’s Bicycle Casino, a little less than half that starting field- or 314 players- were still officially in the hunt, including a good number of well known pros like Jason Mercier, Hasan Habib, Faraz Jaka, Nick Binger, Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin, Shannon Elizabeth, Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, Kristy Gazes, Dwyte Pilgrim, Shannon Shorr, Phil Laak, Isaac Haxton, Kathy Liebert, Thomas Marchese, Daniel Negreanu and Scott Fischman.

Day 2 of the PokerStars NAPT Los Angeles main event begins Sunday at 1 p.m. PST.  For more information, or to read updates from Day 2, visit the PokerStars blog.
