WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic: Bubble Bursting
December 6, 2021
The World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio, is now down to only 54 players, after a Day 3 that saw the elimination of nearly one hundred of the 142 Day 3 starters.

The money bubble this year, thanks to a fairly flat payout structure and a total field of 439 players, was set at the 100 player mark, meaning all 54 survivors are now officially well in the profit category and heading towards an $870,124 top prize.

Some of the notable players still in the field include Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, Marco Traniello, Kirk Morrison, Sorel Mizzi, Jonathan Little, Vanessa Rousso, Freddy Deeb and Doyle Brunson, the man for whom this tournament is named.

The current chip leader, with over a million in chips, is- still- “The Magician” Antonio Esfandiari, who has been one of the leaders of this star-studded field now since mid-Day One.
