Asia Pacific Poker Tour Sydney Grand Final: The Numbers
December 9, 2021
The last event of the fourth season of PokerStars’ Asia Pacific Poker Tour is currently underway in Sydney, Australia, and as usual this Grand Final is ending things with a bang.

289 players signed up for this year’s AU$6,300 buy-in Grand Final event, enough to award the final competitor with chips a first prize cash worth AU$459,510- or about $453,000 USD.

The three Day One heats set to accommodate all those players, successfully filtered away about 122 of them, leaving roughly 167 survivors to battle on Day 2.

Some of the big name players still with chips in Sydney include Tony G, Roland de Wolfe, Lee Nelson, Billy “The Croc” Argyros, Casey Kastle, Daniel Negreanu, and home town hero and World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe Hachem.

Day 2 of the PokerStars APPT Sydney Grand Final begins at 12:30 p.m. local time (5:30 p.m Pacific Time).  To read updates when the event begins, or for more information from the previous three Day Ones check out the PokerStars blog.
