Waxman On, Wins WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Atlantic City

Florida’s Matt Waxman, was the last man sitting yesterday at the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah’s Atlantic City main event, earning the young pro a top prize worth $117,797.

Waxman outlasted a total field of 351 players to earn the top prize, WSOP Circuit ring, and entry into the end of season National Championship, a field which included such well known players as Paul Darden, Amnon Filippi, Chris Bell and “Circuit Master” Dwyte Pilgrim.

The final table finish positions for the WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Atlantic City main event were as follows:

1st.  Matthew Waxman- $117,797

2nd.  Jesus Cabrera- $72,824

3rd.  Mark Sykes- $53,126

4th.  Chris Bonita- $39,406

5th.  Dave Cubeta- $29,685

6th.  Mike Summers- $22,704

7th.  Tam Ly- $17,618

8th.  Brandon Croft- $13,869

9th.  Manish Patel- $11,073

With the main event out of the way, players in Atlantic City can now turn their attention towards the WSOP Circuit East Regional Championship, a $10,000 buy-in tournament beginning Sunday (12/19/10).  For more information, or for further details on the main event, visit www.wsop.com.
