The Shana Hiatt Curse Strikes Again
April 11, 2022
Yet another host to follow in Shana Hiatt's footsteps has lasted only one season as host. This trend, originally seen on the World Poker Tour, seems to have carried over to Poker After Dark, with the announced replacement of the lovely Marianela Pereyra. Pereyra is being replaced by model and show hostess Leeann Tweeden, a former cast member of "The Best Damn Sports Show Period."

Tweeden does also have some poker hosting experience, she was the exit interviewer for Fox Sports' 2006 "Mansion PokerDome Challenge," and she just completed hosting duties for the 2008 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. This most recent job not only gave her valuable experience working with poker's best and brightest, but perhaps more importantly taught her how to stomach working with PokerRoad Radio's Ali Nejad.

Check out Ali and Leeann's work this Sunday on NBC, and for story in it's entirety, please visit the Independent Online Poker Authority, PokerNews.com
