Prahlad Makes It Official, Newest Member Of Team UB
January 7, 2022
Prahlad Friedman, the online cash game crusher and highly respected live tourney pro, has announced his official signing with online poker site UB, as their newest sponsored pro- the first new team member signed since the sudden departures of longtime UBers Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth.

Unlike other pro signings, which often fly under the radar, Friedman’s has been garnering quite a bit of attention, not only due to the timing of the signing, or the fact that despite over $2.3 million in live tournament cashes, a World Poker Tour title and a World Series of Poker bracelet to his credit, he has never before been part of a major team- or even wanted to be- but mainly because UB, or more specifically Ultimate Bet under previous management, during its highly publicized super-user scandal, was known to have cheated Friedman out of a substantial amount of cash, perhaps more than any other player effected at the time.

Prahlad, known to be one of the more outspoken players on the circuit, having in his words received a refund from UB after the super-user incident that he was “extremely happy with”- at least according to a recent interview with Bluff Magaizine- appears now to have only positive things to say about UB, and his future with them.

In that Bluff interview, Prahlad stressed the charity component of his new arrangement and hopefully his ability to do many more positive things with his poker success.

With the departures of Hellmuth and Duke, Friedman should now instantly find himself one of the main representatives of UB, equal in status with such other top UB pros as Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin, Brandon Cantu and PokerRoad’s Bryan Devonshire and Joe Sebok.
