More News On "Operation High Roller"
April 11, 2022
Long time followers of poker news may remember the breaking-up of a sports betting ring last November out of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa poker room (authorities dubbed this action "Operation High Roller"). The sports betting ring was said to be mob affiliated and had apparently processed over $60 million in illegal bets, according to Attorney General Anne Millgram. It should be noted that the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa cooperated with authorities during the investigation and have not in any way been implicated in the illegal sports betting.

New updates about this story report that state authorities have recently handed down over 20 indictments to alleged participants of the betting ring. The indictments name numerous Borgata players and employees and include such charges as racketeering, conspiracy, money laundering, promoting gambling, and criminal usury.
