David Oppenheim Wins Full Tilt Poker Shootout Invitational

The $25,000 buy-in, Full Tilt Poker Shootout Invitational, a 24 player televised tournament taking place during this year’s Aussie Millions, concluded earlier today with David Oppenheim taking down the $250,000 AUD top prize- worth about $248,000 USD.

Oppenheim, known primarily as a high stakes cash game player, bested two complete tables worth of pros to claim the top spot at the Shootout, including big name players like Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen, Carlos Mortensen, Annette Obrestad, Tony G, Patrick Antonius and “The Professor” Howard Lederer, who took third for $80,000 in the event, just behind Oppenheim and runner-up James Bord.

The final payout positions for the 2011 Aussie Millions, Full Tilt Poker $25,000 Shootout Invitational, were as follows:

1st.  David Oppenheim- $250,000*

2nd.  James Bord- $150,000*

3rd.  Howard Lederer- $80,000*

4th.  Barney Boatman- $50,000*

5th.  Patrik Antonius- $40,000*

6th.  Eli Elezra- $30,000*
